I’m Janna Mama (a.k.a. Mama Janna, depending on who you ask). I’m a mom, a wife, and a physical therapist.

Throughout my life, I’ve always had a passion for helping others live their best lives in a way that’s authentic and realistic for them. It’s what led me to become a physical therapist in the first place. After I had my son and experienced firsthand the struggles that come with being a working mom, I wanted to create a safe space to talk about those experiences, share some of what I’ve learned, and hopefully help other working moms who just want to find some balance amidst the chaos.

Working mom life can be tough and, at times, overwhelming. Most of us deal with time limitations, inadequate self care, imbalances between work and family, social stigma and judgement, unrealistic expectations, poor sleep, low energy, and mental and emotional drain – all while trying to operate at full capacity for our colleagues, friends, and families. But is there a place where we can balance all that and thrive? I think so. How do we get there? Finding that sweet spot between work, family, and self is key.

This blog is a reflection of my own experiences being a working mom – a little silly, a little serious. It’s for those of us who are on the continuous search to find realistic and practical ways to balance working mom life. It’s a space to validate our experiences, recognize our challenges (and frustrations), and empower us.
